Saturday night is the venerable opening its origins as a singer songwriter fed-stage: the player piano Cincottis Peter shows the way.

Influenced by a variety of genres in his hometown of New York, Manhattan, it excited classically beautiful ballads and a casual sound of jazz and rock, with Cincotti.

Intentional or not, the grandson of Italian and French immigrants is particularly successful in Europe. With the song Goodbye Philadelphia from his successful album East of Angel Town Cincotti managed in Switzerland, Italy and France, the great coup.

About the Program

As one of Washington's premier benefit engagements, the annual Kennedy Center Spring Gala provides critical funding to support the Center's performances, education, and outreach initiatives.

For the 2012 Spring Gala event, the Kennedy Center is delighted to bring the incredible artistry of David Foster to the Concert Hall stage. A 16-time Grammy Award winner, David Foster has written, composed, and produced records for a diverse and exceptional catalogue of talents, including Michael Bublé, the late Whitney Houston, Céline Dion, Toni Braxton, Madonna, Chaka Khan, Josh Groban, Barbra Streisand, and many others.

Offering a rare combination of talent, taste, and dedication to his work, David Foster has achieved a phenomenal string of hit records and multi-platinum awards over the past three decades. The Kennedy Center celebrates Foster's fine contribution to the arts with a collaboration of special guests, including Grammy Award–nominated trumpeter Chris Botti, Billboard's No.1 Traditional Jazz Artist and vocalist Peter Cincotti, Grammy–nominated vocalist Jewel, Grammy, Tony, and Emmy Award Winner Barry Manilow, and others.

Gala Co-Chairs for 2012 are Debra Lee of BET and Elaine Wynn of Wynn Resorts.
